Hugh M. MooreWhen Hugh Moore moved to Arlington in 1910, the Interurban was a part of everyday life.

Mr. Moore and his wife, Mary Alberta, had eight children, some of whom actively participated in the family business, Moore and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Moore was widely known for his coffee drinking habits, his favorite haunt, The Waffle House. Hugh Moore was elected Justice of the Peace in November 1922 and later Judge Moore was elected to a two-year term as Mayor of Arlington.

He owned one of the first automobiles in Arlington and at one time also drove a purple hearse!
