Homeowners needing emergency repairs as a result of last week’s winter storm may be eligible for up to $5,000 from the Arlington Housing Authority Housing Rehabilitation Emergency Repair Program. Emergency repair funds are available for plumbing and electrical repairs, or any other conditions that are detrimental or a threat to life, health, or safety and require immediate action.

Funds are available to homeowners who have income equal to or less than the “Low Income” in the attached chart based on household size. Eligible homeowners must also live in the household as their primary residence that is not currently for sale. Most repairs are made within 3 business days.

Anyone wishing to apply for an Emergency Repair Grant can download the application in English or Spanish from the Arlington Housing Authority website, and submit with all other required documentation including photo identification, verification of income for all household members over 18 years old, and verification of all assets.
