Taylor Swift The Eras Collection and more at Arlington Museum of Art
Curated by the Arlington Museum of Art from Swift’s own private collection, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Collection is an exploration of Swift as an evolving, boundary-pushing artist. The exhibition will feature original costumes, photographs, videos, and more representing several of her creative periods, or “eras.” Highlights of the exhibition are eight costumes worn by Swift from her record-breaking albums Midnights, folklore, Red (Taylor’s Version) and Fearless (Taylor’s Version). Water Play at the East Library and Recreation Center

Hour of Code for Teens
Join the Arlington Public Library 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library for an Hour of Code just for teens. Spend an afternoon learning the basics of computer science and coding. You will meet in the Explore classroom on the 2nd floor of the library. No previous coding experience necessary. 3D Printing for Families
Learn about 3D printing and take home a gift for the fathers in your life 3 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. Learn how to prepare and print using TinkerCAD and then watch your design take shape before your eyes in the 3D printer! Materials will be provided. This class is limited to the first 12 in attendance and is appropriate for ages 9+.
Short Story Intensive
Come to the Southeast Library every Friday in June to learn about different elements of storytelling. This week’s event takes place 3 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023. The Arlington Public Library will focus on Short Story Writing to help young writers build brainstorming, drafting, and editing skills. Writers can choose to participate in the One Page Dungeons and Dragons Campaign where they will have the opportunity to “publish” their work and run their own campaign. This program is designed for ages 9-17.
Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series
Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Summer Concert Series continues 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, with Dusty Moats opening for Dale Watson. These concerts are free. Open seating is available on the lawn. The Rotary Club of Arlington is commemorating its centennial by donating “Boundless,” a new interactive public art piece in Downtown Arlington for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. The community is invited to a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the sculpture, set for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the future site of Rotary Dream Park. The sculpture celebrates the Rotary Club of Arlington’s 100 years of dedication, vision, and involvement with the community, including its pivotal role in the creation and evolution of the parks system in Arlington. Landscape Design Basics
The Landscape Design Basics event takes place Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Northeast Branch Library’s Community Room. The climate in North Texas can be harsh, but lush home landscapes can be created using the right plants and design principles. Whether you want a traditional suburban yard or an extravagant butterfly garden, using native Texas plants and resource conscious design principles can help you get the best yard on the block without too much effort. At the event, you will learn the basic principles of landscape design, how to take into account the needs and characteristics of your landscape, the best types of plants for different situations, how to maintain your landscape and prune plants and plants that need less water and maintenance. Esports Stadium Arlington hosts an education day for students 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023. They encourage students and accompanying adult chaperones to join for an exclusive opportunity to tour our turnkey 100,000 square foot. venue. Esports Stadium Arlington has hosted a breadth of events such as major esports tournaments, awards shows, anime movie premiers, conventions, and more. Attendees will be able to tour the venue and learn about all the different roles that support an event from our knowledgeable staff. During the tour, there will be multiple career paths to explore, each unique and necessary in its own way to keep our venue running. Admission to this event is only reserved for students and accompanying adult chaperones, limited to only one adult chaperone per student. They will allow multiple students chaperoned by one adult. Tickets will be limited. Any students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a chaperone. All students must present their school ID during check-in.
