1. Cowboys vs. Giants

It's the moment NFL fans have been waiting for. The official season is about to get underway, and the Cowboys are kicking things off at home in The American Dream City. Kickoff is Sunday at 3:25 p.m. And if you don't have a ticket to the game, head to Texas Live! to watch all the action on a 100-foot screen alongside the best fans in football. 

2. Family Day at the Lake

Arlington Parks and Recreation is hosting a Family Day at Lake Arlington Friday evening. There will be boating, fishing, archery and more. Admission is $5 for children under 15 years old and $10 for guests 15 and older. Click the link above to purchase tickets.

3. Arlington Wing Festival

Head to Texas Live! Saturday afternoon for all things wings. The Arlington Wing Festival will feature a variety of wings from more than 20 of the area’s best restaurants and food trucks with more than 60 styles to choose from. Click the link above for ticket information. 

4. Pokémon Club

If you want to catch them all, head to Woodland West Branch Library Saturday at 2 p.m. Bring your trading cards to build decks, battle or trade with others. There will also be a Pokémon-related craft. And Woodland West is home to a Pokéstop and Gym so bring your device to play Pokémon Go.

5. Free concerts at Levitt Pavilion

It's another great weekend of free concerts at Downtown Arlington's Levitt Pavilion. Deep Blue Something (the band that brought you "Breakfast at Tiffany's") kicks things off Friday evening. Saturday is all about Texas rock when Lee Roy Parnell takes the stage. Sunday belongs to Celtic rock group Rathmore. All shows begin at 8 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. 

6. Keith Haring Exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art 

Time is running out to experience this incredible exhibit. The Arlington Museum of Art is currently hosting one of the largest collections of Keith Haring's work. Even if you're not familiar with the name, you'll likely recognize the pieces. Haring rose to fame in the 80's with his one-of-a-kind pop art style. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students.

7. Wizards and Wands Bar Crawl at Texas Live!

Wear your wizardly attire and enjoy access to six bars Friday night. There will also be wizard-themed swag, a souvenir cup and drink specials. Click the link above to purchase tickets. The magic starts at 7 p.m.

8. Brunch and Yoga at Sanford House

Start your Saturday with a moment of zen. Arlington Yoga Center has partnered with Sanford House for brunch and yoga. You'll get your practice in at the Inn's beautiful courtyard. Then head inside for a free mimosa and 10 percent off brunch Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the link above.

9. John Schneider at Arlington Music Hall

You know him from "The Dukes of Hazzard." But Friday is your chance to see another side of John Schneider. The star will be in concert at Arlington Music Hall. Tickets start at $20. 

10. Hometown Huddle

This weekend is your chance to support the Cowboys off the field. The team has partnered with five Arlington nonprofits for the Hometown Huddle for 100 community service event. The organizations are looking for volunteers to help with a variety of projects. Click the link above to find an opportunity near you.
