Dog of the Week – Meet Marty

This two year old male Retriever mix is tan and white in color and weighs 50 pounds. High energy and active are the best words to describe this lovable dog. Marty seems to have a lot of pent up energy that makes him want to run around a lot. After exercising, he does like to be petted. His demeanor is definitely that of a happy dog. Marty would probably do best with a new pet guardian that would encourage outdoor activities like running. Structured training classes might be beneficial as well. Start the new year out by adopting a new furry companion. Meet Marty in Dog Adoptions (DA) 6, his ID number is 43356113.

Cat of the Week – Meet Maverick

This ten month old male Domestic Shorthair is a brown and black Tabby. While the name Maverick, meaning independent, is appropriate for most cats, this cat still retains his likability and desire for attention. He likes to be petted and really likes to be combed. He will arch up to meet your hand and to let you know he’s ready for your attention. A shoulder massage elicits loud purring and kneading on his part. While Maverick is still young enough to exhibit kittenish tendencies, he seems to prefer just “chilling out”. He would probably do best in a quiet household with older children. Cruise on down to the shelter to see if this Maverick could get the starring role as your next furry companion. Meet Maverick in Cat Adoptions (CA) 1, his ID number is 43502271.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration, microchip and 30 days free pet insurance.
