Mission Arlington is gearing up for its annual Thanksgiving meal distribution in The American Dream City. Last year, Mission Arlington gave away more than 6,000 meals, and that number will likely be even larger this year as families feel the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It's a monumental task made possible by hundreds of volunteers. They've been hard at work cooking and packing meals, but the work isn't done. More volunteers are needed on Thanksgiving morning to distribute the food.

“We’ve been out in this community for 35 years,” said Mission Arlington Executive Director Tillie Burgin. “The network, knowing the people, knowing where the needs are, and then the volunteers as we’ve lived together here in Arlington, it’s made such a huge difference for the unity of this City. On Thanksgiving, it is a special to day to give God the glory for His provisions.”
