The Levitt Pavilion in Downtown Arlington will delay the kickoff of its summer season of live, open-air concerts until June 19. The original start date of the summer series was May 15. However, the decision to reschedule the first month of shows was made after considering current advisories about COVID-19, crowd sizes and public health, the nonprofit Levitt Pavilion Arlington announced Tuesday.

“We will do everything in our power to make the best possible decisions for the Levitt, our staff, crew, volunteers, artists, and of course, the health and safety of our loyal Levitt fans,” the statement said. “We will keep you informed about the Levitt concert season to the best of our ability as we all work together to navigate our world right now.”

The pavilion's current plan is for the Levitt's summer concert season to open on June 19 with the bluesy music of Michael Lee, a Fort Worth artist who competed on The Voice. Summer concerts will continue through July 19.

According to the rest of the announcement by the Levitt:

The majority of the artists originally booked to perform in May and the first weeks of June have been rescheduled for the fall concert season, which will begin Aug. 28.

Meanwhile, the Levitt is pleased to announce its new Levitt Living Room Series of live-streaming concerts on Facebook Live. The series kicks off at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, with Brad Thompson. Live-streaming concerts will be every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Artists for the new series will be announced as they are confirmed on the Levitt's website, mobile app, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

The Levitt's summer concert calendar, including a printable version, is on the website, levittpavilionarlington.org, and includes Family Movie Nights. The concert calendar is also on the free Levitt Arlington mobile app.
