On Monday, July 12, 2021 at 6:36 p.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to a shooting call in the 5800 block of Willow Branch Drive.

As officers were responding, an additional call for a major crash was dispatched near the shooting location in the 5800 block of Twin Willows Drive.

Once officers arrived at the Willow Branch Drive location, they determined that a domestic disturbance had occurred at the residence, resulting in a shooting. Officers at the major crash location located a man with apparent gunshot wounds. This man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The shooting suspect, also an adult man, remained at the original location on Willow Branch Drive and is cooperating with investigators. The shooting is still in its early stages and remains under investigation.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
