Construction Project Manager Ensures Minority Businesses Represented at Globe Life Field

Business leader Jollyn Mwisongo is living her dream — and building a better future while she does it. Mwisongo is President and CEO of ACARI Management Group. The firm specializes in program and construction management, helping clients fill specific roles.

ACARI has grown its client roster over the last decade to include Arlington ISD and the Texas Rangers. The team hired ACARI to help ensure minority and women-owned businesses were represented on the job site at the new Globe Life Field.

"I am very proud to see that Arlington is part of that movement, that initiative of always advocating and promoting minority businesses," Mwisongo said. 

Little did she know, she was being trained for a leadership role at a young age. 

"Back in Tanzania, my parents ran a poultry farm, of which all of their daughters were exposed and made to run the business," Mwisongo said. "I didn't understand back then how important those life lessons were."

Mwisongo said she sees now her parents were encouraging her to dream big. And Arlington has given her that chance.

"The American Dream to me is business growth, family growth and personal growth," Mwisongo said. "I find that in Arlington."
