Residents Invited to Participate in Sept. 8, 2020, City Council Meeting

Council Update

The City is putting technology to work to ensure residents can participate in Tuesday’s Arlington City Council meeting. 

The 2 p.m. afternoon session will be held virtually in the Council Briefing Room. The meeting will be broadcast online and on the City's cable channel. 

Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams will be present in person to run the meeting while all other City Council members will be participating remotely through video conferencing technology.

The 6:30 p.m. evening session will be held in the Arlington City Council Chamber. Members of the public are invited to attend but must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Residents may also participate virtually. Anyone who wishes to speak on a listed evening agenda item can send an email to [email protected] to register at any time until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, or call 833-268-8354; Conference ID – 889-745-275# starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, to register to speak. City staff will then call members of the public who register to speak on agenda items at the appropriate time during the City Council meeting.

When registering by email, please include your name and address for the record, as well as a telephone number, and the listed agenda item that you would like to speak on.

The meetings can be viewed live on the City's website at https://www.arlingtontx.gov/city_hall/departments/broadcast or through your local cable provider municipal channel.
