COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Event

This past Saturday, 130 Tarrant County residents received assistance signing up online for a COVID-19 vaccine at a community registration event.

The event was hosted in partnership between State Rep. Chris Turner, Tarrant County Commissioner Precinct 2 Devan Allen, Arlington City Councilmember Ruby Faye Woolridge and the Arlington NAACP at the Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church. Arlington Public Libraries staff provided help at the event, along with approximately 100 volunteers from organizations such as Mission Arlington, Decatur Cornerstone Baptist Church, NAACP, The University of Texas at Arlington and LULAC.

Additionally, more than 700 boxes of food and more than 600 gallons of milk, which were generously donated by the Chris Howell Foundation, were distributed to residents in need.

As of today, March 29, everyone age 16 and older in Texas is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. You can learn more about the COVID-19 vaccination process on the Tarrant County Public Health COVID-19 Vaccine website.
