City of Arlington Awarded State Best 8 Savvy Awards at 2019 3CMA Conference

SAVVY AwardsThe City of Arlington was honored to receive 8 awards from the national organization, City-County Communications: Marketing Association, or 3CMA, for its video programming, marketing, photography and other community outreach efforts.

The Savvy Awards, held in conjunction with 3CMA's Annual Conference, recognize outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships. The Savvies salute skilled and effective city, county, agency or district professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing. 3CMA accommodates local government organizations of all sizes and budget classes by judging entries in several different population groups.

The City of Arlington brought home:

• Savvy Award for Video – Promotional: City of Arlington Hype Video
• Award of Excellence for Video – Education/Training: On the Clock
• Award of Excellence for Video – Interview/Talk Show/News: At the Park with Chuck
• Award of Excellence for Special Events, Recurring: 2018 State of the City
• Award of Excellence for Video – Recurring Programming: Arlington American Dream Chapters
• Award of Honor for Marketing Government Service: Via Rideshare Program
• Award of Honor for Electronic Newsletter: Home Plate Update
• Award of Honor for Video – Public Service Announcement: Amazon Alexa Skill PSA

Earlier this year, the City of Arlington's Office of Communication received 10 awards (including 7 first-place awards) at the annual Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference in Denton, TX on June 6, 2019.
