North Texas Giving Day 2021

Arlington nonprofit organizations are invited to pick up yard signs this Friday in advance of North Texas Giving Day.

The Communities Foundation of Texas and the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation will hold a drive-thru event between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. June 11, 2021 near Levitt Pavilion Arlington, 100 W. Abram St. Nonprofits can pick up as many as five complimentary signs to raise community awareness about this year’s North Texas Giving Day on Sept. 23.

The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, which will award spirit prizes during this Friday’s event, encourages nonprofits to decorate their vehicles or bring festive items, such as signs and pom-poms, when they come to pick up their signs.

North Texas Giving Day is an annual 18-hour online giving event, coordinated by the Communities Foundation of Texas, that encourages residents to make a contribution to the nonprofit organization of their choice. All contributions made between 6 a.m. and midnight on this day are matched in part by the Communities Foundation.

Since 2014, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation has sponsored free community concerts and awarded grants to recognize and highlight Arlington-based nonprofit organizations and to help North Texas Giving Day contributors' dollars go even further. This year’s Arlington Gives! concert, featuring a capella gospel sextet Take 6, will be held in-person at Levitt Pavilion Arlington and also live-streamed for those who cannot attend.
