2019 PAFR

Without question, we are living through unprecedented, challenging times as our community and our country work to combat the spread of the coronavirus and the resulting economic downturn. Though the future is uncertain, we are pausing for a moment to review our successes and the past strategic decisions that will enable our city to handle and adapt to this evolving situation.

We invite you to take a few moments to review the City of Arlington's 2019 Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR). It's our version of a corporate annual report, condensed to a few pages of financial information and interesting stories about public and private investment, valuable programs and services happening here in The American Dream City.

You'll find dozens of success stories as Arlington continues its work to champion great neighborhoods.

You can learn about investments in our libraries, parks and recreation centers, plus the continued success of the app-based Via rideshare service, which is enhancing regional mobility and putting technology to work for you. Our first responders continue to go above and beyond, and this year’s report highlights some of the honors they took home in 2019. The report also looks ahead to future initiatives as we work to realize the goal of being a great city to live, learn, work and play.

The PAFR is a citizen-friendly financial report that uses narrative, photos and graphics to explain the information found in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). Both are published at the same time each year.
