The Arlington Public Library recently hosted a book launch party for one of its own, David Goodner, to celebrate the release of his first book, "Ginny Goblin is Not Allowed to Open this Box". The celebration included a reading of his book, snacks, and crafts for the kids. Those who wanted could buy a copy to have it signed.

Ginny is told that she cannot open a box until dinner time and the story follows her as she looks for creative ways that she may try to get in to box, a relatable topic for the early readers and their family the book is intended for. Goodner's book received a positive review from Kirkus Review, a respected literary book review magazine, and website.

"Ginny Goblin is Not Allowed to Open this Box" is the first book in the Ginny Goblin series.

Goodner is currently a full-time staff member as part of the Library's collections development team. You can check this book out with your Arlington Public Library card. Click to find the book in the library catalog.
