In this Neighborhood Network News edition, you'll learn more about the upcoming Homeownership Fair, check out the newest Meet the Neighbor episode, and find out details about this year's residential rebuild program.

  • Residential Rebuild Program: Work to replace aging roadways and water and sanitary sewer infrastructure continues in east and central Arlington. Over the next two years, 10 street sections will be rebuilt as part of the Public Works and Transportation Department's 2017 Residential Rebuild Program. Click here to learn more about the program.
  • Meet the Neighbors: The latest episode of Meet the Neighbors takes us to Viridian where the residents came together on a service project to comfort hospitalized children. Click here to see this month's episode and click here to see the other neighborhoods we have visited.
  • Homeownership Fair: Mark your calendar for the 3rd Annual Homeownership Fair. Participants will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with exhibitors from mortgage lenders, real estate agents, housing specialists, state and federal agencies, home improvement experts and other housing industry professionals. Lunch will be provided and participants can win door prizes. This year's event is scheduled for July 21 at the Arlington Convention Center. Pre-registration is available June 18.
  • Active Adult Center: Want to learn more about the planned $45 million Active Adult Center to be built in West Arlington starting in 2019: Here's a link to a new FAQ on the project and the latest renderings of the project.
  • NFL Tree Planting: Finally, as I'm sure you're aware, the NFL Draft will be held in Arlington at AT&T Stadium this week. In conjunction with the Draft, the NFL has a host of community events planned this week, some of which will have a lasting impact on our community. On Monday, the NFL joined with Verizon, AISD and Arlington Parks and Recreation Department to plant 35 trees at Brantley Hinshaw Park.
