Backstage Arlington at the East Main Street Arts Festival in Downtown

MyArlingtonTV is taking a trip across The American Dream City to showcase some of the diverse musical acts happening in Arlington's schools, restaurants, churches and neighborhoods.

Hosted by Tika Cook, "Backstage Arlington"highlights some of the different music acts and performing venues that exist in Arlington. The newest episode features Arlington Proud's 2nd annual East Main Street Arts Festival, an event held in Downtown on Saturday, May 6. 2017.

The festival included a full-day lineup of 26 local musicians, dozens of booths featuring local and emerging arts vendors, children's activities and food and drink for sale.

The episode features interviews with Arlington Proud CEO Mark Joeckel and Grammy Award-winning gospel musician Kirk Franklin, an Arlington resident who attended the festival.

The City's Office of Communication develops programming for MyArlingtonTV. Viewers can find MyArlingtonTV programs on the following cable systems: Time Warner Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and streaming capabilities at www.arlington-tx.gov.
