Videos for Account

Residents wanting to access their water utilities account online can now find help navigating the process on the City of Arlington YouTube page.

A trio of short videos has been added for Arlington Water Utilities customers who are using the department's online payment portal, called WebConnect. The first video will help residents set up their WebConnect accountThe second explains the process for setting up recurring payments through the city's third-party billing contractor. The third video guides customers through the process of changing recurring payment methods or entering new payment information.

Arlington Water Utilities' online billing service, Invoice Cloud, will begin charging a $3 convenience fee on all credit/debit payments on Thursday, June 1. There will be no convenience fee on recurring payments from your checking account, which can also be set up online. The change could save residents as much as $540,000 a year by eliminating the fees the utility paid to credit/debit card companies for processing payments.

Arlington Water Utilities began using a new online billing service called Invoice Cloud earlier this month. The City chose a new billing service that would make the online payment site easier to use and eliminate delays in the posting of online payments to the city computer system. Also, customers can set up text alerts through the online payment portal. The alerts will notify the account holder when a payment is coming up and allow them to open the payment portal from their mobile device.

Starting June 1, Arlington Customer Care representatives at the City Hall and South Service Center locations will no longer accept credit or debit card payments. Instead, customers can pay in the lobby of those locations at 24-hour computerized kiosks. A convenience fee will apply. Arlington Water offers several payment options with no convenience fee, including automatic bank drafting as well as in-person check, cash or money order payments.
