Levitt Pavilion's 2017 Summer Concert Series

The annual summer concert series continues this Friday, July 7, 2017. Visitors will be able to attend a free concert under the stars three nights a week, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through July 23. A few artists set to hit the stage this summer include Ambrosia, La Tropa F, Reckless Kelly, Sarah Jaffe, Los TexManiacs with Flaco Jimenez and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Bluegrass Band. Pinocchio Commedia - A Youth Production at Theatre Arlington

Pinocchio Commedia opens at Theatre Arlington in Downtown this Friday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. and runs until July 16, 2017. The commedia flavor gives the story of Pinocchio additional vigor and excitement without losing the charm and significant message of Carlo Collodi's famous story. Saturday features both a matinee at 2 p.m. and an evening show at 7:30. Sunday features a matinee at 2 p.m. Seating begins 30 minutes prior to curtain. Regular tickets are $13 and can be purchased at www.theatrearlington.org.

Arlington Public Library's Community Yard Sale

The Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library's first ever Community Yard Sale will take place on the front lawn and parking lot of the Literacy House from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 7 and Saturday, July 8. Arrive early for the best selection! Proceeds from the sale will benefit the new George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, which is set to open in 2018. Friday Fish Fry at Ventana Grille

Join Ventana Grille at Arlington Parks and Recreation's award winning Tierra Verde Golf Club for a Friday Fish Fry from 11 AM to 9 PM on July 7! 17th Annual Autocross Weekend at UT Arlington

The University of Texas at Arlington student Formula SAE racing team will host at least a dozen teams from across North America for the 17th Annual Texas Autocross Weekend July 8-9, 2017 on the UT Arlington campus. Competition starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 8, in Lot 49, which is at the southeast corner of Mitchell and Cooper Streets. Admission is free. Racing begins again at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 9. Autocross is a form of racing involving a pattern of sweeping and hairpin turns, slaloms and straightaways. Cars race against the clock and the best time wins.

Angels vs. Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington

The Texas Rangers are at Globe Life Park in Arlington for a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Friday, July 7 through Sunday, July 9, 2017. On Friday, fans will enjoy a fireworks show after the game. Friday's game starts at 7:05 p.m. Saturday's fans will experience Turn Back the Clock Night at the ballpark. The first 15,000 fans ages 14 & older will receive a Fox Sports Southwest / Southwest Airlines Mike Napoli Powder Blue Replica Jersey. The game starts at 8:05 p.m. Sunday is $1 Blue Bell Ice Cream Sunday for fans ages 13 & under. First pitch on Sunday is at 2:05 p.m.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

The water park in Arlington's Entertainment District will be open Thursday through Sunday, July 6-9, 2017. Hurricane Harbor will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor features 47 acres of water wonderland to enjoy. Spend the weekend at Six Flags Over Texas with all your friends and family celebrating all things summer. The Joker free-fly coaster is also open at Six Flags. After being lifted straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill, riders flip head-over-heels up to six times along the weightless journey. Milton H. Greene: Women Exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art

This summer, the Arlington Museum of Art will continue its tradition of photography exhibits with Milton Greene: Women, which opened on May 13 and will run through Aug 6. "Photography has been a huge success at the Arlington Museum of Art," Hightower said. "Our two most attended exhibits, Ansel Adams and Vivian Maier, were photography exhibits. I chose Milton Greene's work because he was famous for his work with celebrities in the '50s, '60s and '70s such as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Frank Sinatra."
