Simple Living Jamboree

The Tiny House & Simple Living Jamboree, plays host to the latest and greatest in tiny houses, simple living, and sustainability across the nation, will take place October 27-29, 2017, at the Arlington Convention Center.

Tiny house owners, enthusiasts and curiosity seekers will gather to attend workshops, meet with influential members of the tiny house community, and celebrate the movement. The event will also feature entertainment, food trucks, a local Texas vendor fair, and more all in a family-friendly environment.

Tiny House & Simple Living Jamboree, the world's largest tiny house and simple living gathering in the world, will also collaborate with Operation Tiny Home, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that assists people struggling with severe housing instability. The collaboration will support Operation Tiny Home's "Building a Better Future Program" which provides low-income veteran participants with the opportunity to learn carpentry skills, develop confidence, and create a supportive community while building a tiny home for a homeless peer.

The Tiny House & Simple Living Jamboree will be raising money for the program through a workshop hosted by Zack Giffin of Tiny House Nation. In exchange for a contribution, attendees will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from Giffin as he completes the interior of a tiny home for a veteran in need. Attendees can also add a donation to Operation Tiny Home when purchasing tickets to the Jamboree. In addition, Reed Exhibitions will be making a corporate donation to the program.

"We are honored and extremely grateful to be selected as the charity partner for the Tiny House & Simple Living Jamboree," said Gabrielle Rapport, Chairman & Executive Director of Operation Tiny Home. "This partnership will help raise awareness and much needed funding to support our nation-wide construction skills training workshops and provide affordable tiny housing solutions to help struggling veterans maintain a life of dignity."

"Naming Operation Tiny Home as our charity partner for the Jamboree gives us the opportunity to give back to those who have served our country honorably," said Nancy Walsh, President of Reed Exhibitions "We're also excited to have Zack Giffin offer his talents to such a great cause."
