Dog of the Week – Meet Gator

This three-years-three-months old male Shepherd mix is tan and white in color and weighs 70 pounds. Energy abounds in this canine selection this week. Gator has been in the shelter for more than 3 months and is really ready to move on to a new furever home. He likes to chase toys but doesn’t return them to you. He seems to know the command of “sit” and will comply if he’s offered a treat; however, he does tend to jump up for the treat before it’s offered. A family willing to engage him in lots of playtime would be a good match. Gator is heartworm positive so he will need to be treated for that condition by a loving pet guardian.
