The Arlington Police Department responded to a major crash in the 3700 block of S. Center Street on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 9:46 p.m. involving a motorcycle.
Investigators believe a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on S. Center Street and failed to drive in the main lane and drifted over a curb. This caused the motorcycle to strike a guardrail, causing the operator to be ejected from the motorcycle.
The operator was transported to a local hospital. Investigators were notified that the man was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. No other vehicles were involved. Detectives have not ruled out speed as a possible factor in this crash. This case remains under investigation.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
