Homicide Investigation - Report #2021-01460033

The Arlington Police Department responded to a shooting at a local bar in the 2300 block of N. Collins Street on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 2:09 a.m.

Investigators believe that two men engaged in a fight in the parking lot. At some point during the fight, the suspect shot the victim and fled the scene.

 Patrol officers were able to quickly determine who the suspect was and arrested him at his residence. A handgun was recovered from the suspect.

 The victim, a 34-year old man, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Detectives were notified this afternoon that the victim passed away due to injuries sustained due to the gunshot wound.

 The suspect, 26-year old Dillon White, is currently in the Arlington Jail on one charge of Aggravated Assault. The charge will be upgraded to Murder.

 The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
