West Main Street Arts Festival

Mark your calendars for the 5th Annual West Main Arts Festival, set from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 8 in Downtown Arlington.

The family friendly and pet-friendly event at 306 West Main St. will feature live music, around 80 local art vendors, nine food and beverage vendors along with a wine and beer garden for attendees to enjoy. Mark Joeckel, founder and owner of Create Arlington, said the goal of the festival is to give local artists a place to showcase and sell their work.

“The festival was set up to give our local artists and musicians a venue to sell their product and also to perform,” Joeckel said. “We really encourage people to come and support the local art scene by not just attending but purchasing art from the local artists.”

Once the festival ends, Joeckel encourages attendees to attend the New Breed Brass Band concert at Levitt Pavilion Arlington. This free outdoor concert at Founders Plaza starts at 8 p.m. Click here for more information about the show.
