Vandergriff Art Festival

Are you an Arlington art lover in search of a way to support local artists? Look no further than the Vandergriff Art Festival.

This three-day festival, formerly known as Art on the Greene, will feature a wide variety of artwork from 75 local, regional and national artists. Attendees can see and buy art in these categories: ceramic, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media 2D, mixed media 3D, painting, photography, sculpture and wood.

“I created Vandergriff Art Festival for the citizens of Arlington,” founder of the Vandergriff Art Festival, Steve Moya, said. “This event is about community and support for the arts. It's about being proud to have a first-class art festival in your hometown. It's about knowing that artists from all across Texas and the United States choose to come to Arlington for this event.”

In addition to the artwork on display, attendees can enjoy music from 10 local bands ranging in genre from classic rock, blues, jazz and r&b, as well as food from vendors and beverages from the beer and wine tent.

“As an artist myself, I travel to different cities and states to sell my work,” Moya said. “The support from the local communities that attend the art festivals make it possible for me to earn a living as an artist. My goal is to provide artists one more opportunity to sell their work with the hope that the citizens of Arlington and surrounding cities will be that same support for the artists participating in Vandergriff Art Festival.”

The festival will take place from April 30 to May 2 at Vandergriff Park, 2800 S. Center St., and is free and open to the public. For more information, visit
