Most years, small businesses across the country would be gearing up for one their busiest days of the year — Small Business Saturday. The shopping holiday, following Thanksgiving, has become a great way to support the small businesses that are so vital to our community.

But in a year when many of these businesses need our help more than ever, people are also working to avoid crowds and slow the spread of coronavirus. That's why Downtown Arlington is urging residents to shop small all holiday season. The "Small Business Everyday" campaign will run through mid-December, spotlighting the eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and bars Downtown.

The group is also launching its new "Down to Business" podcast Nov. 28, 2020. Each episode spotlights a local Arlington small business. The premiere episode features Wally Hardin of The Man's Shop. New episodes will premiere bi-weekly through Dec. 16, 2020 on the Downtown Arlington Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Of course, Arlington has small businesses all around the City. The Arlington Convention and Visitors Bureau created a guide to shopping small this holiday season.

The Arlington Chamber of Commerce is also spotlighting its member businesses. The team has compiled a gift guide and catering ideas.

Whether shopping in-person, online or taking advantage of curbside pickup options, thank you for supporting Arlington small businesses.
