Hip-hop and R&B artist, Abraham Alexander, kicks off the August live streams for the Levitt's Living Room Series

More free music is coming to living rooms all through August, thanks to Levitt Pavilion Arlington's "Levitt Living Room Series." The live-stream concerts are at 8 p.m. every Tuesday through the Levitt's Facebook page and then posted on the Levitt's Instagram through IGTV. The Levitt Living Room Series is sponsored by Downtown Arlington. During the concerts, the Levitt asks for online donations to support free music and help the nonprofit recover from the pandemic which forced the pavilion to cancel its live summer concerts.

Here's the August line-up coming to your living room:

Abraham Alexander
Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 8 p.m.

Born in Greece to parents of Nigerian descent, Abraham Alexander moved to Texas with his family at age 11, determined to escape the racial tensions they faced in Athens. While his song lyrics speak to pain and trauma and life-changing loss, Alexander instills his music with a joyful passion and irrepressible spirit, ultimately giving way to songs that radiate undeniable hope. His songs are shaped with elements of soul, hip-hop and blues.

Kylie Frey
Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 8 p.m.

The music of Lee Ann Womack, Wynonna Judd, Linda Ronstadt, Jessie Colter, Shania Twain, the Chicks, Pam Tillis and Patty Loveless played an integral role in shaping Kylie Frey's ear for storytelling when she started writing songs at 16. Following two Top 10s on the Texas Regional Radio Chart and her first number one single, "Rodeo Man," she relocated to Nashville to pursue country music professionally. Frey was one of Shania Twain's protégés on the inaugural season of USA Network's "Real Country" in 2018.

American Sons
Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 8 p.m.

American Sons, from Denton, is an all-American breed of dedicated and passionate musicians committed to expressing themselves through music. American Sons also has original songs written with the passion of true patriots.

You may have seen him featured on season 17 of NBC's "The Voice." Austin singer/songwriter and guitarist, Jo James, has a gift for entertaining. James received the honor award at the 100% Music Songwriting Contest, and was nominated for the Soul of Austin award at the Austin Armadillo Awards.
