The Arlington Museum of Art, in Downtown Arlington, announced its latest exhibit — an exclusive collaboration with artist Knox Martin.

Martin is a painter, sculptor, and muralist in New York City. For nearly 70 years, Martin has created eye-catching work. He’s best known for his six-story mural in Manhattan “Woman With Bicycle” and twelve-story mural “Venus” in New York City.

His artwork is held in more than 40 museums worldwide and ready to be displayed in The American Dream City. The exhibit will not only feature his vivid abstract paintings alluding to nature and the female form but will also reveal his exclusive watercolor work.

“AMA is getting a series of Knox Martin watercolors never publicly shown” said Board President Chris Hightower. “They will make their public premier at our exhibit this summer.”

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the dates for the exhibit won’t be announced until the museum can safely reopen.
