Fire Station 17
The City of Arlington’s newest fire station is now open.

Fire Station 17, located at 875 Bird’s Fort Trail, provides service to the northern parts of Arlington, including the Viridian master-planned community and the City’s River Legacy Parks. The station’s service area is north of Northeast Green Oaks Boulevard to both the west and east city limits.

Fire Station 17, which is 8,460 sq. ft., was constructed by the Viridian developers through the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 6.

The City of Arlington and Viridian developers reached an agreement in 2009 on the construction of both a smaller temporary fire station and then a larger permanent fire station to provide cost-effective fire protection services incrementally as Viridian develops and its neighborhoods expand.
