 Travel Workshops

Springtime in Texas: the days grow longer, the sun is high in sky, and it's the perfect time to start planning your vacation. Arlington Public Library wants to help you with your vacation plans by offering four programs in April and May all about travel. Whether its group tours, day trips or cruises you're interested in, the library has a program for you.

Hit The Road!: Group and Solo Travel for Seniors introduces coach or bus tours for seniors. It's easy to take the scenic route when someone else handles the navigation, driving and other logistics of a trip. Speakers from local bus tour company, Dan Dipert Tours, and the not-for-profit, educational Road Scholar organization will present information about these unique types of travel. Both representatives will have Q&A time after their presentations, so bring your questions.

Explore our state with Texas Travel, two sessions focusing on trips within Texas. Local travel blogger Michelle Ames, ofHaving Fun in the Texas Sun, will discuss day trips accessible from Arlington and the rest of North Texas.

If you're interested in cruising, join our Cruise Chat. This informal discussion will let cruising veterans and first-timers share tips and how-to's about Galveston port cruising. Whether you've been on many cruises or are still deciding where to go on your first trip, you'll find lots to talk about with other travel lovers.
