Visitors staying in Arlington during the summer will soon be able to visit downtown businesses and restaurants easier by taking the new Downtown Express route on the trolley. The trolley is a free, no fare service offered to guests staying at participating entertainment district hotels.

The Downtown Express route will begin May 25 and run through September 30. The new route will service the Levitt Pavilion, Arlington Music Hall, and Theatre Arlington, as well as a wide variety of downtown restaurants. It will also provide easy access for visitors wanting to visit UT Arlington's College Park District.

The trolley service currently serves Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Cowboys Stadium, Arlington Convention Center, Arlington Visitor Information Center, and the International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame.

The Arlington Trolley is managed by the Arlington Entertainment Area Management District (AEAMD) and is financed by an assessment against hotel properties located within the District. Guests staying at these hotel properties do not pay a fare or a fee to take advantage of this service.
