"Dream Builders" is a show on MyArlingtonTV that highlights the ways our community is helping kids dream big, nurture their creativity, polish their skills and develop the tools they need to achieve their American Dream as young adults.

In the latest Dream Builders, Kallie Menard, a soon-to-be senior from Martin High School, uses her Girl Scout Gold Award project to enhance learning at the grade school she attended.

Since 1916, Girl Scouts of the USA has encouraged girls to stretch their leadership and time management skills to accomplish extraordinary things.

In 1980, the Girls Scouts began awarding the Gold Award, the highest and most prestigious Girl Scout award to girls in grades 9-12 who complete a service project. Recipients are also encouraged to share what they learned on their project to educate and inspire other Girl Scouts.

The City's Office of Communication develops programming for MyArlingtonTV. Viewers can find MyArlingtonTV programs on the following cable systems: Spectrum Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and streaming capabilities at www.arlington-tx.gov.

All episodes of Dream Builders are also available on the City's YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter account.
