Last night, the city was notified by the FBI that they made an arrest in a case concerning a murder plot. The case involved a plan to have Mayor Robert Cluck and a contract attorney for the city, Tom Brandt, murdered.

Mayor Cluck and Brandt were briefed on the investigation today. Both express their appreciation of the FBI's efforts in this case and Mayor Cluck went on to say, "I feel confident this case will be thoroughly investigated. We as a city council must always act in the best interests of the City of Arlington. I believe we've done that and will continue to do so."
