Meet Pedro, Arlington Animal Services' Cat of the Week! Pedro came to the shelter as a stray with an injured leg with severe nerve damage. On February 4, the shelter Veterinarian Dr. Nancy, had to amputate his leg to prevent infection and further injury. After recovering a couple days at the shelter from the surgery, Pedro then went into the AAS Foster Pet Program and was lovingly cared for in a foster home. He recovered quickly and returned to the shelter to be adopted! Pedro is an adult male solid black Domestic Shorthair cat and he weighs about 9 pounds. Pedro is a little shy at first when you meet him, but he absolutely loves to cuddle and be loved on. He purrs when you pet him, is a great snuggler and he even likes his belly rubbed! The volunteers just love Pedro; he has a sweet, affectionate personality and he is very loving! What more can you ask for... handsome and a wonderful personality! Come to the shelter and meet Pedro today. Pedro's ID number is A21946663. The staff and volunteers have fallen head over heels for this boy, please give him a chance and let's get him his fur-ever home!
