Students attending the University of Texas at Arlington will soon have an opportunity to study in Jordan.

Representatives from UT Arlington recently signed initial agreements Monday with four Jordanian institutions in a first step toward establishing student and scholarly exchanges and research collaborations with a key U.S. ally in the Middle East.

The agreements between the University and the Jordanian Nursing Council, Hashemite University, the Jordanian University of Science and Technology and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority in Jordan lay the foundation for further expansion of UT Arlington's global mission of expanding access and excellence for education and research.

The signings were attended by representatives of the four Jordanian institutions and Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein, mother of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan. Her Royal Highness helped found the Jordanian Nursing Council and has been honored for her ongoing commitment to the provision of quality nursing through continual advancement of practice and education.
