The Lights at Interlochen

One of the largest holiday light displays in north Texas continues to shine bright in Arlington. More than 200 homes in this Arlington neighborhood participate and have been enchanting visitors with Christmas lights, decorations and displays for more than 35 years. Enter the Interlochen neighborhood from Westwood Drive at Randol Mill Road. Maps are available at Experience Arlington's "Spirit of Arlington" website. Adults and children must be properly secured by safety belts and child safety seats at all times. The Arlington Police Department can help you navigate safely through this event. Weekends usually do attract the highest volume of visitors. Admission is free.

Indianapolis Colts at Dallas Cowboys

Are you ready for some football, Cowboys Nation? The Dallas Cowboys look to finish the fight and clinch an NFL playoff berth in Week 16. The team is currently sitting in 1st place atop the NFC East after last week's road victory against the Philadelphia Eagles. This week, the Cowboys (10-4) square off against Andrew Luck and the Colts (10-4). If Dallas wins and Philadelphia loses against Washington on Saturday, the Cowboys will win the division. The game starts at 3:25 p.m. at AT&T Stadium and will be televised on CBS. Resale tickets are available online. There are also limited tickets available by the venue.

Texas Christkindl Market

The Texas Christkindl Market enters its final weekend in Arlington and is open for people to visit until Sunday, December 21. Road to Six Flags on the north side of Globe Life Park in Arlington has been transformed into a European holiday village, featuring a variety of authentic German holiday products, food, music, live entertainment and family activities. The Market also has a custom-crafted Santa Haus, Marionette Theatre, pony rides and much more. Parking and admission are both free. The market is open from 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Friday and Sunday and 10:00 am - 10:00 pm on Saturday. Holiday in the Park

Roller coasters in December? You can make it happen by attending another holiday season tradition in Arlington. "Holiday in the Park" at Six Flags Over Texas has once again magically transformed the park into a Winter Wonderland. Throughout the park, guests will be entertained by carolers and infused by the smell of holiday food options. Festive food and drinks like flavored coffees, hot chocolate, cider, and chili in bread bowls are available during the event. Children can also meet Santa! Park hours and ticket information are available on the Six Flags Over Texas"Holiday in the Park" website. Runs on select days until December 30.

Theatre Arlington's The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Get in the festive mood and enjoy some laughs at the theatre this weekend! The Best Christmas Pageant Ever tells the story of a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant. They are faced with casting kids with a habit of getting into trouble. However, what some feared would be the worst pageant in church history, ends up causing the community to rethink the true meaning of the Christmas story. No children under the age of 3 are permitted. Tickets can be purchased online, with performances taking place on Friday at 8 pm, Saturday at 2 pm & 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm & 5:30 pm.
