Save the life of a less adoptable pet!

In honor of "Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week", September 17 - 22, 2012, all designated adoptable Pit Bull type dogs will be half price for only $50!

Additionally, adoptable animals that have been at the Arlington Animal Services (AAS) Center for more than 21 days will also be half price!

Come by AAS, at 1000 S.E. Green Oaks Boulevard, 76018, during this special event and find a pet to call your own!

The week will conclude with a "Pit Stop Pity Party" being held at AAS on September 22, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. dedicated to its Pit Bull population. It is a pity there are so many sweet, adoptable Pit Bull type dogs and other type pets at the shelter for more than 21 days, in need of good, loving homes.

The Pit Stop Pity Party event will offer the following:

  • If you have a Pit Bull type dog, or are interested in learning more about laws regarding animals be sure to attend a free Responsible Pit Bull Ownership class at 9 a.m.
  • Adopt a designated Pit Bull type dog for only $50 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Adoptable pets that have been at AAS for more than 21 days will also be half price between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.!
  • Respect A Bull, Inc. will microchip your pet for only $10 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Immediately following the Responsible Pit Bull Ownership class, meet Turtle the famous "Painting Pit Bull" of Respect A Bull, Inc. Turtle is a highly trained and loving pet therapy canine dedicated to helping seniors and youth in the community.
