Dottie Lynn’s Popular After School Care Program

Following a great summer, Dottie Lynn Recreation Center (DLRC) is gearing up for a new year of their popular After School Care program. DLRC is currently offering a 10-percent discount on all classes, and the After School Program, on Thursday, August 14th.

"We are excited about the possibilities and opportunities that a new school year brings," Recreation Program Coordinator Diana Younts said. "We are preparing to provide a fun, safe, and rewarding experience for all students."

The After School Care program will include pick-up from Duff, Dunn and Hill Elementary, but drop-offs are welcome. Homework help, crafts, games, sports, snack and more are planned for each day. DLRC will also provide a Day Off Day Camp (7:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.) on October 13, November 26 and over Winter Break when there is no school (additional fees apply).

Children will be separated into the following grade levels: K-1st, 2nd-3rd and 4th-6th.

"The After School Care program is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment that provides time for both free time and structured play after homework," Younts said. "Older kids will spend time in the Teen Room doing 'cool' stuff and have more time to finish homework."
