Food Trucks Roll Into Arlington for Lunch and Dinner Series

The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department (APRD) has finalized plans to host the "Food Truck: Fall Series", beginning September 16 and ending October 24, at Founders Plaza/Levitt Pavilion and Stovall Park.

Following two wildly successful, five -week series - Food Truck Fridays at Founders Plaza and Food Truck Friday Nights at River Legacy Parks - the APRD immediately began preparation for a full-scale fall series.

"The food truck events in Arlington are always a rage on social media. Hundreds of attendees share pictures, comment and tweet about trucks they enjoy," Electronic Media Specialist Justin Snasel said. "These interactions offer valuable insight for improvement. Our staff analyzes the feedback after every series and decides how we can make the next one better than the last. The fall food truck events stem from a collaboration of the top attributes from both previous series."

The APRD will host two, separate series simultaneously for lunch and dinner. Lunch events will take place on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Founders Plaza beginning September 16, and the dinner events at Stovall Park will occur every Friday from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m beginning September 19.*

The line-up of trucks will vary each week. The lunch series kicks off September 16 with great food from Smoke Wagon, Whats Cook-N-Chef, Holy Frijole, Gandolfos, Easy Slider and Maui Wowi.

Future truck lineups will be announced the day before each event on the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department's Facebook page.

As always, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to the food truck events, as seating is limited. Come on out for a great meal with family and friends and enjoy music, fun and great food from our area food trucks.
