After 40 years of dedicated service, legendary Scoutmaster Doctor Craig "Doc" Poindexter will salute the members of Boy Scout Troop 68 one last time during a special Court of Honor ceremony this Sunday from 2-4 p.m. This emotional ceremony is expected to be Poindexter's final meeting as scoutmaster for the Arlington-based troop.

With attendance expected to exceed the capacity of the Scout Hut, Troop 68 leaders decided to move across the street to the Great Hall of the group's chartering sponsor organization, First United Methodist Arlington, 313 N. Center Street.

In addition to honoring "Doc" Poindexter, Troop 68 will award the boys for their advancements in rank and merit badges.

Troop leaders are encouraging former members of Troop 68, community partners and anyone else associated with the program to come out and celebrate Doc's long deserved retirement. This event is free and open to the public.
