South Street Art Festival This three-day festival features roughly 75 artists from across the country. Don't miss 10 prominent local bands and all the cool atmosphere of a downtown art festival. Hours:

  • Friday, Sept. 26, from 5-11 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.

Live Music Continues at Levitt Pavilion Bring your lawn chair and enjoy free music this weekend at Levitt Pavilion, as the Everything Energy Fall Concert Series continues with concerts Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Friday: Hear Daphne Willis as she brings both musicality and grit to the songs she sings. Show begins at 7:45 p.m. Ruthie Foster, who honed her soul-filled voice in Texas churches, can move audiences to tears or ecstasy-sometimes in a single song. Ruthie hits the stage at 8:30 p.m. Saturday: Whiskey Shivers, five young men from all corners of the U.S., has been described as a "freewheelin', trashgrassin', folk tornado." Show begins at 8 p.m. Sunday: Four-time Grammy nominee singer/pianist Marcia Ball knows how to raise roofs and tear down walls with her infectious, intelligent brand of southern boogie. The show begins at 8 p.m.

Food Truck Series at Stovall Park If you're looking for some great food from a food truck, head over to Stovall Park this Friday for the new Food Truck Fall Dinner Series sponsored by the Arlington Parks & Recreation Department. Fright Fest at Six Flags Begins This Halloween season at Six Flags Over Texas promises to have more thrills, chills and scares than ever. By day, the park offers Halloween-themed shows and treats for younger guests and families. Then by sun's set the ghastly ghouls, goblins and zombies emerge, and the hunting and haunting begins throughout the parks' midways. At night, visit the park's five bone-chilling haunted houses, including the all new Zombie infestation. Ticket prices vary.

College, Pro Football at AT&T Stadium On Saturday, the Texas A&M Aggies take the field against the Arkansas Razorbacks in the Southwest Classic. Kickoff for this SEC showdown is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Ticket prices vary. The following day, the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys face the New Orleans Saints in a Sunday night showdown at 7:30 p.m. Some standing room only tickets are still available.
