The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Matthew McConaughey's just keep livin foundation celebrated the sixth year of their partnership with a special event featuring just keep livin participants on September 13, 2017.

60 students from three program high schools, Sam Houston High School (Arlington), Pinkston High School (Dallas), and Eastern Hills High School (Fort Worth) participated in an event at the Texas Rangers Youth Ballpark. McConaughey was also in attendance and spent time with the kids involved in the fitness and wellness program.

In May 2011, the Rangers Foundation announced a partnership with Matthew McConaughey and his just keep livin foundation to create an after-school program for local students centered on encouraging students to improve their physical and mental health through exercise, teamwork, gratitude, nutrition and community service.

In the first four years of the Texas Rangers just keep livin program, nearly 90 percent of the student participants have shown marked improvements in their academic performance and attendance. The students have successfully completed half-marathons and numerous 5ks throughout the community.
