United Way of Tarrant County is helping residents sign up for affordable health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The Arlington Public Library, in partnership with United Way of Tarrant County, is providing informational sessions about the Affordable Health Care Act and enrollment for health insurance.

On Monday, February 9, at the Arlington Southwest Branch Library, there will be a Health Insurance Marketplace Enrollment event from 3-7 p.m.

For those who weren't able to sign up by December 15, 2014 for coverage starting January 1, 2015, they can still enroll through Sunday, February 15 for coverage that will begin March 1.

The organization received a $4.6 million dollar grant to lead a statewide effort to reach out and inform residents about accessing and signing up for healthcare.

Having and championing great neighborhoods is a priority for the City of Arlington and Mayor Robert Cluck.

"Being able to see a doctor on a regular basis is important," Cluck said. "We know that having access to healthcare will help all of our families and individuals stay strong and healthy."
