TxDOT Median Project Begins Next Week

Next week, work will begin on the TxDOT Median Project on FM157.

Various lanes on Cooper Street between Mitchell and Pleasant Place will be closed for construction.

The contractor will close the inside lanes for the median work, and close outside lanes for the sidewalk, ramp, and driveway work.

Arlington Public Works & Transportation plans to have one crew start the median work at Mitchell Street moving south in phases.

This will take place while a second crew begins on the sidewalks, ramps and driveways at Arkansas Lane, also moving south in phases.

This is intended to keep outside and inside lane closures from occurring in the same area.

Construction is scheduled to be finished in March 2016.
