The Native American Student Association or NASA will host the 20th Annual Benefit POWWOW on Saturday, February 28.

The event will include traditional food, dances, music, singing, raffles, and vendors and a special appearance by Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck.

"I hope that everyone that attends the Powwow will have a great time and leave with a better understanding of the Powwow dance culture," said Vice President of NASA and POWWOW Committee Chairman Harold Rogers.

NASA received UTA's 2014 Outstanding Student Organization President Award and the group was one of eight student organizations across the nation to be featured in College Guide for American Indians published by Winds of Change in 2005.

Over the years NASA has hosted seminars, workshops, and has welcomed numerous key speakers such as Dr. Roy Hawthorne, a Navajo code talker.

Since 1998, a total of 32 scholarships have been awarded by NASA.
