Mission Arlington’s Tillie Burgin to Speak at J. Gilligan’s

Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex Executive Director Tillie Burgin will be the guest speaker this evening for Optimist Club of Arlington.

Burgin will speak at 6:30 p.m. inside J. Gilligan 's Bar & Grill, located on East Abram Street downtown.

The Optimist Club of Arlington has provided athletic, scholastic and community oriented activities for kids in The American Dream City for more than 60 years.

The group is looking to partner with Mission Arlington on its sports programs.

"We are grateful to have had the privilege of being in the heart of this community for 29 years working with thousands of children, young people and adults on a daily basis," Tillie Burgin said.

"The Optimist Club is a wonderful partner with Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex, offering opportunities for young people throughout of the community to be involved In sports programs. Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex young people would not have this opportunity without help from the community and groups like the Optimist Club."

Mission Arlington has been serving people in the community since August 1986.
