Historic Fielder House

Do you love butterflies? Learn about the host and nectar native plants that feed our local butterflies during a guided garden tour at the Historic Fielder House this Thursday, June 16.

Master naturalists Josephine Keeney, Charley Amos and Jane Ousterhaus will conduct a Butterfly Workshop during the third Thursday of each month June 16, July 21, Aug. 18 and Sept. 15. A different butterfly will be featured each month.

Visitors can learn about the butterfly life cycle and many of the special local butterflies that visit the Fielder House garden, which is maintained by the Arlington Organic Garden Club and Master Naturalist. The guided garden tour begins at 6:30 pm., followed by a butterfly presentation inside the Fielder House Museum at 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the community.

The Historic Fielder House, located at 1616 W. Abram Street, is open for tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment Tuesday through Saturday.
