The Arlington Police Department has finalized the Advancing 21st Century Policing Report.

As previously announced, the department was selected in May of 2016 as one of fifteen law enforcement agencies nationwide that served as an exemplary implementation model for the President's Task Force on 21st Century Policing. The culmination of that work has been captured in a final report that has been presented to the United States Department of Justice and the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) as required by participating agencies.

You can access the final report by clicking here. The department has also launched a webpage to assist the community in learning more about the best practices and work completed during this project. Click here to access the webpage, which includes several resources.

"The final report was written and compiled during times of great challenge and social conflict involving the role and function of police in our society. We are excited to present this report to our community that catalogs the amazing work that our employees do each and every day," Police Chief Will Johnson said.
