For the third year in a row, customers at Gene Allen's Gifts can make a donation to a local charity by purchasing the Gift of Giving Christmas ornament.
From Friday, December 15 until Monday, December 18, $2 of the purchase price of this special ornament will benefit Safehaven of Tarrant County, said Connie Gauntt, who has owned Gene Allen's Gifts for 22 years and has also served on Safehaven's board. The pewter wreath ornament, on sale for $5.99, features a ribbon design that reads Give Thanks as well as Hope, Faith, Love, Family and Friends. Customers who purchase the ornament will also receive a 20 percent discount on a regular priced item.
Safehaven of Tarrant County, which has emergency shelters in Arlington and Fort Worth, helps women and children fleeing from abusive relationships.
Gene Allen's, an Arlington staple, has two locations in The American Dream City and one in Grapevine.
