The newest Culture Buzz segment on MyArlingtonTV visits Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington's Entertainment District.

Earlier this month, the popular holiday event was named Best Theme Park Holiday Event in Texas and third best in the nation by USA TODAY readers.

From festive shows to an extravagantly decorated Christmas tree, holiday fun is around every corner. The whole family can relish in the joy of this wonderful season with a ride on a hill made of snow and enjoy holiday festive treats.

This year's Holiday in the Park highlights include:

  • Merry Marketplace: Experience the sights, sounds and smells of a hometown holiday!
  • The Frosty Snow Hill: Enjoy the thrilling sensation of racing down the famous magical snowhill.
  • Holiday Tree of Trees Light Spectacular: Towering nearly 60 feet over the Star Mall, 72 Christmas trees trimmed with thousands of lights. This is a must-see family tradition.
  • Deep in the Heart of Christmas: Walk through a light up canopy of the Texas flag and Texas sized ornaments. Made for a great family photo opportunity.
  • Lone Star Lights: Embrace the magic of the season as thousands of lights sparkle in a choreographed light show to sensational hits.

Holiday in the Park, at Six Flags Over Texas, runs on select days through Sunday, January 7, 2018. For more information about the event, please visit sixflags.com/overtexas.
